The Framework for an Equitable Homelessness Response project is guided by an unprecedented partnership of national organizations and experts and was launched to address both the public health and economic crises created by the COVID-19 pandemic and the inequitable impacts on people experiencing homelessness, Black, Latinx, and Indigenous communities, and people with disabilities and/or underlying health conditions. This collaborative effort is moving forward with an even more expansive array of partners committed to working together and to embracing Values and Principles for Our Shared Work.

Read more about these partners’ past and current efforts in this joint blog from the Alliance’s Ann Oliva and CBPP’s Peggy Bailey and in this brief paper providing an overview of the Framework project.

The foundational Framework document and videos guided communities on how to use a wide range of federal funding sources strategically across key public health and economic recovery strategies to meet public health goals, increase housing stability, and prevent future increases in homelessness – all with a racial justice and equity lens.

We have also archived the library of resources, including federal and national guidance documents regarding funding and operations and state and local examples and tools, that we gathered and organized during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
